WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT US:

As the Data Platform team within IT, we work alongside the Software Development team to shape the success of our data-centred company. In your role as Senior Data Engineer, you will take responsibility for our new data platform and the development of modern data solutions. In doing so, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and lay the foundations for data-driven decision-making across the entire company.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing and maintaining scalable ELT/ETL processes for integrating various data sources
Managing and optimising the data infrastructure in terms of performance and scalability
Working closely with analysts and business units, from requirements gathering through to the acceptance of data products
Implementing data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance
Creating and continuously updating documentation
Actively contributing to architectural considerations, platforms and technical decisions

YOUR PROFILE:

At least four years’ relevant professional experience in data engineering
Experience in leading project teams is an advantage
Very good knowledge of Python (e.g. pandas, pyarrow, dlt)
Experience with dbt and dlt or comparable frameworks for data transformation and integration
Experience with Docker or containerised workloads
Proficiency in modern ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
Desirable: Data Vault, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, AWS ECS/MWAA/ECR
Fluent in English and German at least at B2 level
