Battery storage, hydrogen and renewable energies are key building blocks of economic transformation. For these projects to become a reality, they need the right financing.
As a Junior Associate in Structured Finance – Energy Transition, you will work closely with an experienced Senior Manager. You will support them in developing and implementing complex financing solutions – from the initial analysis through to the successful completion of a transaction. In doing so, you will learn step by step how project finance is structured and gradually take on more responsibility.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with the analysis and evaluation of new financing opportunities in the energy transition sector, particularly for battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen and photovoltaic projects
- Contributing to the structuring and implementation of complex project and corporate financing arrangements
- Analysing business models, financing structures and transactions, and presenting your findings
- Preparing decision-making documents, such as LOIs, term sheets and loan applications, and supporting the approval and onboarding process
- Further developing financial models to evaluate new financing options, as well as assisting with the assessment of new financing arrangements and the analysis of our existing loan portfolios
YOUR PROFILE:
- A successfully completed degree in Economics, Finance or a comparable subject.
- Initial practical experience, for example through work placements or part-time student roles in banking, corporate finance, project finance, transaction services or a similar environment, is an advantage – but what matters most to us is your motivation and willingness to learn
- Enthusiasm for the energy transition and an interest in battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen and renewable energies
- Analytical thinking and a passion for solving complex problems in a structured way
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English
- Very good Excel skills, particularly in analysing complex data
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Initiative, team spirit and a desire to take on responsibility and develop your professional skills
